HORIZON

"A new sexy spirituality is on the horizon. We are in search of that transcendant ecstasty. An ecstasy that is pure and truly human."
– Casey Spooner LA WEEKLY, March 2001

I think that quote is a big clue as to what this song is about, probably about not buying into religions that tell you that all things about sex and other human things are wrong. One article said that this is maybe about landscapes, which makes sense considering the title. In the show he wears a windsuit that Peanuts unzips and then pink fabric flows out while Casey stands in front of a big fan (and smoke too, I think.) There used to be a video clip of this on the official Fischerspooner website. It looks really cool. It actually looks like he was surfing, so maybe it is a metaphor about spirituality and the ocean and trying to stay on top, like the ocean or going under is the difficulties in life, and your soul keeps you afloat but there is nothing else out there. (Another crazy interpretation!)
